Healthtech design agency
Healthtech design that patients and clinicians can trust
Websites, apps and product UI for digital health teams. Clear for patients, fast for clinicians, accessible and private by design.
DesignMe is a design agency for healthtech and digital health startups. We design websites, apps and product UI that are clear for patients, fast for clinicians, accessible to WCAG 2.1 AA and built with privacy in mind from the first wireframe. We work alongside your clinical, legal and compliance leads, and we bring experience from other trust-heavy products, such as Ballogy, a sports app with 300K+ users where under-13 rules and parent-managed profiles shaped the design.
- What we design
- Websites, patient apps, clinician dashboards, onboarding
- Accessibility target
- WCAG 2.1 AA by default
- Relevant experience
- Privacy and safety-led design for a 300K+ user app used by minors (Ballogy)
Fit
Who we work best with in digital health and care
A good fit if
Probably not a fit if
- Not a fit: Teams looking for a vendor to certify HIPAA compliance: that comes from your systems, policies and counsel
- Not a fit: Medical device software that needs a regulated design controls process run by the agency
- Not a fit: Hospital IT projects that need EHR integration engineering
Sound familiar?
Two users, two kinds of stakes. Patients need calm, clinicians need speed.
Healthtech teams tend to hit the same walls with two very different users. If a few of these sound like you, this page is for you.
Patients drop out of your intake forms.
Long forms and medical jargon arrive when people are anxious. We design calm, plain-language flows that explain why each question is asked and save progress.
Clinicians say your tool adds clicks to their day.
We design dense, fast interfaces around real clinical workflows, with the most-used actions one step away.
Your website reads like a startup pitch, not a care provider.
We put clinical credibility, privacy answers and real people up front.
Accessibility is on the list for after the launch.
Health products serve older users, people with disabilities and people having a bad day. We design to WCAG 2.1 AA from the start.
You’re not sure which pixels run on pages where people share health details.
We plan tracking with your compliance lead before anything goes live.
Patients and clinicians use the same product for very different reasons.
We design each side for its own stakes: clarity for patients, speed and accuracy for clinicians.

What each score means
- 0 to 3Not ready for patients yet Trust, privacy or accessibility gaps could stop adoption or create risk. Start with a review of the site and the first-run flows. Book a healthtech review
- 4 to 6Credible, with gaps The foundations are there. Accessibility, clinician workflows and privacy copy are the usual next steps. Talk through the gaps
- 7 to 8Ready to scale You are in good shape for patients and clinicians. Next gains come from enterprise and partner pages. Plan the next step

FAQs
Healthtech design questions, answered
Does a healthtech website need to be HIPAA compliant?
A public marketing website usually does not handle PHI, but forms, portals, scheduling and tracking pixels can bring it into scope. Anything that collects or shows health information about an identifiable person needs care.
We design with your compliance lead so data only goes where it should. Compliance itself comes from your systems, policies and agreements.
What is the Section 504 web accessibility deadline?
HHS extended it in 2026. Organizations receiving HHS funding with 15 or more employees must meet WCAG 2.1 AA by 11 May 2027, and smaller ones by 10 May 2028.
Many pages online still show the old 2026 date, so check the current rule with counsel.
How do you design for patients and clinicians at once?
Treat them as two products that share data. Patients get calm, plain-language flows with reassurance at each step. Clinicians get dense, fast screens built around their real workflow.
On the website, give each group its own path from the homepage.
How do you make health apps accessible?
Design to WCAG 2.1 AA from the first wireframe: strong contrast, readable type, keyboard and screen reader support, clear labels and helpful error messages. Then test with real assistive technology before launch.
Can we use analytics and ad pixels on a healthtech website?
Carefully. Tracking on pages where people log in, book care or share health details can expose sensitive data. Review every tool with counsel, and keep marketing tracking away from patient flows.
How much does healthtech UX design cost?
It depends on scope. A launch website costs far less than patient and clinician apps with accessibility testing. As a guide, boutique agencies usually charge $8,000 to $25,000 for a website, and product work is scoped separately.
We quote after a short call about your product and timeline.
Have you worked on healthtech products before?
Our deepest experience is in other trust-heavy products, such as fintech and a consumer sports app used by minors, where privacy and safety rules shaped the design. We are happy to talk through relevant work under NDA on a call.
