Salesforce integration

Salesforce is an enterprise CRM. Web-to-Lead turns a website form into a Lead record, and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) adds form handlers and visitor tracking. Salesforce has no official Webflow app and Framer has no native integration, so we post forms to Salesforce from a server route or through Zapier, with spam checks first.

Setup by platform

How we set up Salesforce

  • Framer

    • Zapier or Make
    • API

A Framer form webhook goes to Zapier, Make or a small server function that creates the Lead, so the form keeps Framer’s design and spam protection.

  • Webflow

    • Zapier or Make
    • Embed

Webflow says Salesforce has no official app. We use Zapier or Make from the native form, or a Code Embed with the generated Web-to-Lead or Account Engagement form when your team manages it in Salesforce.

  • Astro

    • API

An on-demand endpoint validates the form, checks for spam and posts to Web-to-Lead or an Account Engagement form handler, so the org ID and field names never sit in the page.

  • Next.js

    • API

The same pattern in a server action, with retries and a fallback alert to Slack or email if Salesforce queues the request.

Use cases

What teams use it for

  1. Contact sales forms

Demo and pricing requests become Leads assigned to the right rep by your Salesforce rules.

  2. Gated content with tracking

Account Engagement forms record which assets a prospect downloaded and visited.

  3. Booking plus routing

Cal.com routing forms can use Salesforce ownership to book the account owner directly.

Before you add it

What to watch out for

  • Limits

    500 Web-to-Lead requests a day

Web-to-Lead accepts 500 leads per 24 hours by default; extra requests wait in a pending queue. Support can raise the limit for high-volume sites.

  • Consent and GDPR

    Account Engagement tracking opt-in

Account Engagement can require tracking opt-in and offers a consent API. When a visitor opts out, no page views are sent.

  • Data layer

EU residency is a paid add-on

Salesforce’s Hyperforce EU Operating Zone keeps data in the EU for listed products. Check which clouds your contract covers.

Does Salesforce have an official Webflow app?

No. Webflow’s own integration page says Salesforce doesn’t offer one and points to third-party apps, Code Embed or the APIs.

How many leads can Web-to-Lead take per day?

500 per 24 hours by default. Extra requests are queued and processed later, and Salesforce Support can raise the limit.

Web-to-Lead or Account Engagement?

Web-to-Lead is enough to get leads into Sales Cloud. Account Engagement adds marketing forms, scoring and page tracking for teams running nurture campaigns.
